We are in Very Urgent Need of “Storage Administrator” for our Precious MNC IT Client Based Pune

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

§  Perform advanced trouble shooting HP EVA and MSA Storages. Level 3 support and basic administration of EMC Storages.

§  Knowledge of backup software like HP-DP

§  Handle escalations from L2 incident Management team.

§  Coordination on Problem analysis and providing RCA.

§  Plan, execute and report Availability, Performance & Capacity management of Storages.

§  Coordination with vendor / Service provider for problem resolution.

§  Change Impact analysis and Change coordination

§  Resolving Storage incidents and problems.

§  Storage and SAN switches Firmware management

§  Plan and execute DR requirements for the tower and coordinate the same at project and program level requirements.

§  Troubleshoot hardware remotely and able to guide to site admin for hands and feet support.

§  Meet reporting requirements and represent the tower in customer, project, program meeting and audits as required. 

§  Lead the tower for technical operations, Operations standardization and documentation review.

§  Manage, maintain & update the Knowledge management database for the tower.

§  Coordinate with customer in creation of SOP’s, Templates, policies, etc. And make sure they implemented and effective.

§  Making sure that all the resource meets the required security standards, policy and operations standards, quality guideline and procedure and process are followed at all times.

§  Conduct audits on incident ticket and service request and recommend of improvements

Analysis all the incident, service tickets and initiate for Service improvement and Lean programs.  

 

Required Candidate Profile

(Job Requirements / Descriptions)

§  7 – 10 yrs of experience in handling HP EVA and MSA Storages and basic administration knowledge of EMC Storages.

§  Basic knowledge of in Solaris / RedHat Linux,HPUX and Windows  Server Administration,

§  Expert skills in Performance, Availability and Capacity Management of HP Storage systems

§  Able to handle and troubleshoot hardware issues on HP storage Arrays.

§  Expert knowledge is HP storage management and troubleshooting.

§  Should have completed some related certification in 1 or more of the above technologies

§  Should have a very good understanding of ITIL process. Preferably ITIL foundation certified.

Excellent verbal and written communication, good customer handling skills and working experience in working with Virtual customers & Teams

 

Technical Skills Required

 

• 7 -10 yrs in HP Storage and Server Administration
• Basic OS knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows
• Good understanding on  HP Storage array and solution offerings

• 5 – 7 yrs in HP storage management.
• Hardware : Tape Library concepts SCSI or Fiber vendor / DELL /  HP and Netapp
• Good Experience knowledge HP Storage offerings, Data domain, SAN Switches, HBA, Multipathing software.

§  Creating Disk Groups/RAID/Pools

§  Create/Modify LUNs

§  Assign LUN to a FC port

§  Configure a Switch in existing fabric

§  Create/Modify Zone sets

§  LUN Masking

§  Expose a LUN to specific host HBA

§  LUN Expansion/MetaLUN

§  Working with Storage management tools like command view EVA ,Navisphere,SMC ECC).

§  Setup and Manage Disaster Recovery Solutions.(Continuous Access.)

§  Configure and troubleshoot hardware break fix

§  Software license tracking and reporting.

§  Establish remote storage management – ( Software and firmware)

§  Document Monthly Customer Performance Report on established service

§  Identify additional capacity requirements

§  Provide input for forecasting storage growth and capacity requirements,

§  Future Upgrade / Migration Strategy

§  Disaster Recovery Management

§  Performance Analysis and tuning

§  Trend Analysis
